Yikes!
The flu bug bit me a bit on Friday and now I have a really bad hayfever. One of the small perks of the flu and the bad weather, was that I got to stay at home on Saturday - rather than going shopping or taking the kids out!. That meant I got to watch some rugby. I really should have been prepping for TechED - especially since I have barely started for my own breakout sessions. Most TechED work has been on the agenda, schedule, speakers etc etc.
Back to the rugby. What a great game. With a few minutes left, and us 5 points down and a man down, my hopes were not too high but I did have some hope, as the performance in the first 70 minutes was terrific. Enrico Januarie than pops up and scores that fantastic try - and that made me feel a lot better.
Awhile ago I blogged about how "difficult" is was to get my i600 upgraded - and how they told me the phone needed to be sent to Cape Town. Yesterday, I was looking at the Samsung site to check out the Samsung i780. To my surprise I found a little banner advert on upgrading my Samsung i600 to Windows Mobile 6. I downloaded it quickly - since there were rumours that it was available previously and taken down.
Last night, I decided to upgrade. My biggest challenge was finding an old machine with XP on it and after finding the laptop, the bigger challenge was finding the power cables!. After all that the process was rather seamless. Installed Activesync 4.5, the Samsung modem driver and then ran the app to upgrade. I spoke to one friend who I sent the link to yesterday, and he upgraded without issues as well.
