  • The next decade of my life

I turned 30 yesterday, and must admit I've been wondering about this for a while now.  Is my life going to get better / change, or will it just continue as is?  Should I consider euthanasia, or just drink myself to death.  I got close to that on Saturday night.  Had a big party at my house with a sheep on the spit, and about 30 of my closest friends.  It was great fun (the parts I can remember).  Note to self, do not drink countless suitcases after a dozen (or two) beers.  Bad move!  Very bad move!  It makes you wonder the next morning "What the hell did I get up to last night!"  I will assume that since no one has knocked on my front door to arrest me, or worse, that I didn't behave that badly.

Sunday was spent on the couch drifting between sleep and watching the final day of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, trying not to move too much, and hoping for a speedy recovery or death, whichever came quickest.  On a better note, I did manage to convince my dad that a PSP would be the perfect gift for my thirtieth.  He finally relented, and I scraped myself off the couch to go buy it!  What an awesome toy!  I bought Tiger Woods 2006 and WRC with it, and spent a few hours last night playing.  This is the first time in about 8 years that I own my own console again, after the previous one was reposessed by some nasty people who decided to clear me out in a series of 8 break-ins over a 5 month period.

I can seriously recommend a PSP as a good purchase.  The games are a bit pricey, but I hope that they will come down in price in a while.

So, happy birthday to me, and here's to a new decade, and all new challenges.  At least I've lost all the hair already, and hopefully the teeth will stay around until my sixties or seventies (man that seems ancient)
