Well, well, well, it appears that we will need a separate topic for this. My eNaTIS Performance post was very popular, with a lot of people expressing their dissatisfaction with the system. As before, I'd like to try and keep this to facts and figures, however in this case that may be difficult. I went to the Jo'burg Traffic Fines page to see if any of my gratuitous speeding had been caught on camera, and noticed the Metro Police section below. For non-Johannesburgers, the Metro Police are a form of corrupt barnacle that can be found fast asleep next to automated cameras, acting as a taxi, or playing soccer, but very rarely actually doing any work. One of our more colourful politicans in South Africa, Patricia De Lille has called for blogs to be regulated , and has asked the National Intelligence Agency to investigate an anonymous blogger. Apparently this complete swine dared to make defamatory statements about Simon Grindrod, an Independant Democrats representative. Apparently this blog also slandered a rugby player, a reverend and an entertainer. They refuse to indicate where to find this blog as it may give it credence, but are quite happy...
