The 2008 Microsoft XNA Dream-Build-Play Challenge has begun and its looking like its going to be a really cool competition this year. Yesterday at the XNA Gamerfest 2007 Microsoft announced XNA Game Studio 2.0, an upgrade for the current XNA Game Studio Express 1.0 Refresh, which will now integrate into all Visual Studio SKUs not just the C# Express edition. Since the Xbox 360 emerged on the local South African market late last year I've started to hear PC gamers complaining about consoles. From letters to the editor of the local NAG magazine to friends and people I meet. Most PC gamers that I've spoken to say that the games cost too much and that the platform doesn't compare to the gaming power of the PC gaming platform. Its only two days until the Xbox 360 finally makes its official launch on the South African market. The original Xbox was never launched in South Africa and this marks a momentus occasion for many die-hard fans of the Xbox platform.
