&lt;p&gt;It might affect the sales of the PVR specifically though, but not that much - most people don&amp;#39;t choose the PVR when buying dstv.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Think about it, how could they launch a VoD (aka catch-up) service without a PVR decoder as something needs to store the trickle-feed content.&lt;/p&gt;
