MCSD Training - Derek Adkins

MCSD Training

As some of you know, I'm busy with my MCSD.NET at the moment, and I've been doing the MS training courses at Torque-IT in Rivonia.  I started with the full time day classes, and when my study leave got used up, I switched to evening classes for the remaining few.

Now, I've no problem with the courses themselves. The facilities are good, and the lecturers know enough to answer most questions.  BUT, and here's the BIG but...

They've rescheduled my evening classes about 4 times now because of other students cancelling at the last minute. So they decide not to hold the class with only one student attending... BUT, in their agreement, they state that any cancellations result in course fees being forfeited.... which doesn't happen.  Instead, I get told 2 hours before actually leaving for my course, that it's been cancelled.  Hardly professional.  And the thing is that they apologise, reschedule, and then close to the time (sometimes on the same day) cancel the course again!!!  I'm sick of having to organise my life around them time and time again, only to be let down each time.

I'm not impressed, and I've told them that I want the remaining course materials given to me, and I'll study the stuff at home in my own time.  At least I cannot cancel on myself now can I?

If anyone is considering doing some training, avoid Torque-IT at all costs.

In my, very annoyed, opinion.
