Popfly Beta for Everyone

Popfly

The fun of creating applications should be within everyone's reach - professional and non-professional developers.  Historically Microsoft has invested a lot in creating tools for professional developers - think Visual Studio.  Now, Microsoft is working on a tool to support non-professional developers, called Popfly.  The idea is simple: Create applications online without writing a single line of code!  Then deploy the application to different environments, like Facebook.

I know, the idea of creating no-code applications, might not excite you if you are a professional developer.  Yet, it will excite someone close to you - think wife, husband, friend, child, ...  Check it out.

Source Code for .NET Framework

Microsoft is opening up the .NET Framework libraries for developers to see the actual source code.  Amazing!

Developers will now be able to download and view the source code - even step into this code when debugging.  Microsoft is releasing the source code under the Microsoft Reference License.  It means you can view the code, but cannot change/recompile it.  It will be available along with .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008 later this year.
