1.1 just became 2.0
You probably expected this :-)
How fundamental are the feature improvements between Silverlight 1.0 and 1.1? HUGE, you would rightly say. As big as the difference between writing Javascript and managed code. So, to do justice .1 does not do it. Hence, Microsoft has announced today that the next release of Silverlight will not be 1.1, but rather 2.0. Read the announcement and about all the envisioned features for Silverlight 2.0.
In the same announcement Scott also hints on the public preview of "ASP.NET 3.5 Extensions" to be released to the web next week. Those of you that have been eagerly awaiting Microsoft's implementation of the Model View Controller framework definitely would like to get your hands on this preview. Go have a look at Scott's tutorial on creating an MVC ASP.NET project.
Also have a look at release announcements regarding the ADO.NET Entity Framework and "Astoria".
