Well the past weekend was properly one of the best weekends SA rugby had in a long time in the S14. SA teams won 4 of there 5 matches, only the Bulls lost due to there own arrogance. What was exciting was the number of times that the backline players got to run with the ball. The last couple of years SA teams tended to play mostly with there forwards, neglecting the backs.
During the weekend I installed IE7 and it really looks much better then IE6. There is much more richness in the pages that are browsed, wonder what the other browsers will hit back with?
The time is coming soon I’ll have to give back my faithful Dell Latitude D510 company notebook. So now I’m shopping around for a notebook of my own. A carpenter needs his own tools. My requirements are really simple, nothing extravagant but something that gives me good bang for my buck. The current favorite is the Acer Travelmate 4234WLMi with the Amilo Pro V3505 a close second.
We all know that IT professionals get paid very well in general. Sometimes it makes me wonder if the skill justifies the money that some IT guys earn. When you get paid a lot but it’s not justified enjoy it while it lasts. Your skill is an asset to a company and like all assets companies sometimes do return on investment analysis of there assets. So make sure that your skill is always an asset with a high ROI for your company.
