Well it seems that Trevor has done again a good job of the 2007/2008 budget. With surplus funds and good planning he was able to give most what they wanted. But every day we hear of poor service delivery in government. It’s obviously one thing to get money but another to spend it wisely. Someone jokingly remarked that if we could swop the personal between the departments of the finance and security (Police) we would not have any crime and any taxes.
In Europe some lucky guy or girl won a record breaking 8.6 million euros in the euro lottery. Well that’s a lot of money but it would not be enough to pay for Thabo’s wall. (Read more here and here). Interesting that a government that believes that crime is not a problem in there country needs to spend so much money on security for one person and his ministers. It seems a common perception that crime only affects white Afrikaners people in this country, and Winnie. No wonder the government (read Charles Nqakula) wants to get us out, with us gone crime will gone.
