On Friday last week we got a puppy, a 2 month old border collie. My wife called him Kobus, don’t ask my why. Well Kobus kept us busy most of the weekend, not that he’s naughty but because he’s a puppy.
Don’t you think it’s ironic that our health minister seems to be very ill from symptoms that remind you of a virus infection that she and her government deny are a problem? Wonder if she is going to take her own advice and try and treat it with traditional medicine, not that we’ll ever know the real cause of her illness.
The past weekend was Round 4 of Super 14 2007. Of the four South African teams in action 2 recorded wins and 2 lost. The Storms again showed that there is something big wrong with there game plan. In Perth the Lions beat the Western Force in another gutsy performance by this young team. The Bulls scored a lucky win in a game they really did not deserved to win against the Chiefs. In Bloemfontein the Cheetahs lost against a Crusader team that was playing like a team on fire. The Achilles heals of all the SA teams seem to be rucking at the point of breakdown. The overseas teams are much more aggressive in contesting for the loose balls and it pays off. We need to be more committed in fighting for possession.
