Ok, I finally wanted to track down exactly where the whole "foo" / "bar" / "foobar" thing came from - you know those "Secrets" that everybody but you seems to know? Well, this one is finally solved. I was browsing around the WinFX site recently, and I found this interesting article on RSS Support in Longhorn . Basically what it amounts to is that Microsoft is quite literally building RSS-related functions directly into the OS itself. Wow!! Devdays was absolutely awesome! I'd not seen a lot of the stuff demo'd, and some of it I hadn't even heard about yet, so it was fantastic to see it in operation. Microsoft have put some really, really great tools into the new box. Also, it was great to meet and interact with the guys Microsoft brought out. They are very knowledgeable and quite senoir guys. I got confirmation from Ruari last night, and the DevDays speakers will be available for a Dinner on the 16th (the night before the DevDays event). I'm really looking forward to this one, 'cos it will be great to interact with these guys outside of the event itself. It will need to be out at the Lord Charles though, but everyone is invited. Yup, apparently the death-knoll has sounded for VB6. The blogosphere is alive with the reports that mainstream support is ending for vb6 this month .
