    My client is a large Web Developer, their business is Internet based and they have a global presence. They need Contractors to build a major web based system in conjunction with an existing dev team, realistically they will keep you busy for about a year but they will offer 6 months contracts to be extended.

    You need strong C# - ideally 2 - 3 years with commercial 2.0 experience, obviously strong ASP.NET but also experience building and interfacing to a SQL Server Database. AJAX, XML and DHTML skills are also needed. Rates are negotiable upto R200 per hour and you would be based in Fourways which may well suit Centurion or Midrand based Developers as well.

  • .NET Developer (SMS Mobile Web), JHB North - Sandton

    Mobile Application Developer offers a home for .NET Developers wanting a smaller environment working on complex applications but without the politics and problems associated with the big boys. Your role will be multi faceted in that you will drive Analysis and Design around the applications and then with a small team in tow build the system. This role would suit mature, responsible people who don't need a Boss constantly watching over them, you would be hired because you are highly skilled and as such respected and trusted.
     
    You need:
    minimum of 2 years C# - .NET Framework experience.
    All work is OO based and a solid grounding is essential.
    Knowledge of UML advantageous.
    Strong Web based skills - ASP.NET - essential; knowledge of SMS, MMS, GSM -SMPP all advantageous.
    Strong MS SQL design and development skills essential.

  • Senior .NET Developer (Financial, C# 3.0/3.5), JHB North

    My client is one of SAs top Dev Companies, they offer an established, secure environment with enterprise project mainly in the Financial arena BUT using the latest tools Microsoft have to offer. They are looking for talented Developers and are happy to train a good C# Developer in any areas you may be weak - NB they do expect that you have excellent C# skills (including strong MS SQL development skills). Their value to a Candidate lie in the project work they do, the amount of growth available with them and the excellent training structures in place. You would find yourself working in teams ranging from 10 to 20 Developers which allow; even pretty senior guys; to always have someone to learn from.
     
    Requirements:
    you will need a minimum of 18 months C# - more importantly you must be a strong .NET Developer,
    you must have as strong MS SQL Server skills - design experience advantageous.
    They have both Windows Forms and Web (ASP.NET) project available, so either will be considered.
     
    Advantageous - the "nice to have" skills.
    Analysis and Design experience - not vital, they need Developers and Senior Developers.
    Their stock tool is C#.NET Framework 2.0 - at least some knowledge important.

  • C# .NET Developer (MS Gold Partner), JHB North

    My client offers an environment perfect for the "super geek", this is the place where you learn to use WCF Services, MOSS, Biztalk 2006 etc... Funnily enough expectations are that not only would you research new technologies BUT you will also get to use them commercially. Make no mistake they're picky about who they take on and the interview process is likely to give you cause to reflect on your skills but this is a cool bunch of Developers currently moving into the 30/35 man bracket. Their environment is one that encourages a work/life balance and you will find yourself having a couple of beers on Fridays or hosting a LAN party with the boys and girls you work with; the balance is that at work you will be expected to have a high level of skill, with a strong focus on quality as well as the personality to help better the way you deliver. Training will be centred around your primary job functions - Platform dev, Design methods etc...
     
    Requirements:
    C# 2 years commercial experience min - for the Senior Dev roles you will be expected to have fairly strong .NET 2.0,
    ASP.NET once again 2 years - 2.0 knowledge expected from Senior Devs,
    SQL Server funnily enough also 2 years min - 2005 not essential but a general idea of the differences useful for now.
     
    Advantageous - NB these are "nice to have" skills not essential (unless you want an income outside of the stated budgets!!!)

    Your role:
    Security - manage and maintain all aspects of security to comply with SOX,

    daily checks - improve and automate as much as possible, always be auditable,
    Back/restore - be recoverable at all times, develop and implement backup strategy,

  • C# Developers and Lead Developers East Rand

     

    Large blue chip requires Senior Developers for new long term dev work using C# 2.0 and later introducing elements of 3/3.5. The systems will be e-Commerce based and will need to handle revenue in the Billions annually with extremely high traffic.

    They need people with n-tier skills using C# 2.0, ASP.NET, XML, SQL 2005 (T-SQL especially) with some knowledge of Team Foundation. More Junior Developers need between 2 and 3 years experience, Senior Developers must have in the 4 to 5 year region, Leads need experience with teams of between 4 and 8 - Leads should ideally also have experience ensuring testing regimes are maintained, ensuring operational process integrity etc...

    Rates are negotiable but as a guide I expect to achieve -

    Developers - R15K - R25K

    Senior Devs - R30K - R35K

    Leads upto R40K

    These rates will obviously be based on your skill. My client will consider Contractors on Fixed Terms BUT they will want you to commit to long term contracts.
