Analyst Programmer - Cape Town
THE PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION ARE:To undertake activities on development in Data Warehouse framework.To assume responsibility for the development of new reports and maintenance / support of existing reports.Liaise with the IT business units and the rest of IT to develop functional specifications.Develop according to technical specifications for projects.Keep users informed of progress through effective communication.Work on multiple projects at the same time. BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS3 – 5 Years applicable programming and application development experience.Good knowledge and development experience of MS.NET frameworkExcellent understanding of OO development practicesExperience in SQL Server 2000/2005;including the development of complex queries, creating reports at formula/grouping level, user functions, cursor and stored proceduresCrystal Reports 10 or 11 with development experience in: sub reports, crystal syntax formulae, conditional formatting, running totals, cross-tab reports, charts and graphs, crystal repository and crystal templatesNational Diploma or degree in Information Technology
