Software Developer (Focus on Microsoft C# and .Net based systems)

Job Description: 1. Develop and test the source code for new or modified software. a. Understand requirements, architecture, and design documentation. b. Provide work estimates for performing required tasks. c. Implement and maintain source code in accordance with requirements, architecture, design and coding standards. d. Unit test the source code. e. Identify, fix and verify defects in the source code. f. Write system documentation as appropriate. 2. Provide input for regular team status reports. Requirements 1. A degree in software or systems engineering, computer science, or the equivalent (training or experience). 2. Database analysis and design experience. 3. Vendor certifications or equivalent experience in at least two or more of the following relevant areas: a. Microsoft’s Visual Studio .Net b. In depth practical experience with C# programming language (essential 2+ years) c. Windows forms experience d. SQL server 2005 4. Experience in the short term insurance industry will be an advantage.
