  • Is this thing on? (Version 2)

Ahem! I’ve got an announcement to make. I’m joining the South African blogsphere. For those who don’t know me, my name is Justin Lovell and I’m from Durban. I am a Microsoft MVP for the ASP/ASP.NET Product group and I’m currently employed by a company called Mitsol (www.mitsol.net).

I currently do have a blog at blogs.aspadvice.com and I thought that I might take the chance for this year, to contribute something to the local community. My strongest point in the community is through online collaboration – I’m not that comfortable with public speaking although I think I can handle it, if I’m forced to. What is going to happen to my old blog? Well, I’ll start migrating some awesome posts here nice and slowly. And continue synchronizing the content till I switch the old one off completely. One of the motives for the move from that neighborhood is that it has become a very dingy place to live – yes, boys and girls, I’m talking about comment spam. I can't switch off comments completely.

On a more personal note, I’m very much into learning new things every day. For the past two weekends, I have been trying to catch some good weather so that I could learn to surf. It looks like I will miss the good weather again this weekend! And oh, Ernst has agreed on teaching me how to surf :-). Because the weather won’t look promising, I’ll be doing research for the remainder of the night such that I could give my best when I do present the topic of which I still have to decide upon.
