[OT] Why I have been off work for three weeks...

What happens when this meets this at high speed? Well, this [1] [2].

Thanks a ton to all those who took time to send me their best wishes and come and visit me in hospital and at home, it has meant so much to me and I have come to realise how fortunate I am to have such a decent bunch of people to call my friends.

I am working from home now until my leg recovers enough to get back in to work, so if there is something you have been waiting for me to get to please be patient, I am working through the backlog as fast as I can!

My sympathies Kevin. Way back in '87, I had the same thing happen to me, although probably at a slightly lower speed. My shin connected the back bumber of a Nissan bakkie, while the rest of me missed (therefore not absorbing much impact away from my shin). I only got two screws though, no pin. I can't exactly say get well soon, because it takes ages, but all the best dude.

Wow, I had no idea. Sorry to hear that man. If it's any consolation, I've been in a leg cast for the past 2 weeks myself. I completely ruptured my achilles tendon while playing 5 a-side soccer 3 weeks ago. I have 6 more weeks till I start physio-therapy to learn how to walk again :-( I'm also working from home most of the time so email away. Senkwe
