• [OT] Help with damaged hard disk - RESOLVED!

  Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about recovering the data on my ladies' HD. I think there were some replies that got caught up in all the comment spam i have been wading through so please forgive me if i didn't reply directly to you - I appreciate all the suggestions. The good news is that I managed to get every bit of the data back using OnTrack EasyRecovery . A very cool addition to anyone's toolbox, it worked like a charm (and it wasn't the first product i tried). Share this post:... • [OT] Help with damaged hard disk

  This is a plea to anyone in the Joburg area for some help. My girlfriend's PC crashed a short while ago and she did not have a backup of her photo archive that was on the disc (silly girl!). The photos mean a lot to her but the +- R3 500 that data recovery companies ask to look at the disc is just to much to shell out. If anyone has a contact at a data recovery company or has some personal experience with getting data off bad discs and you are willing to help then *please* give me a shout, both myself... • [OT] Why I have been off work for three weeks...

  What happens when this meets this at high speed? Well, this [ 1 ] [ 2 ]. Thanks a ton to all those who took time to send me their best wishes and come and visit me in hospital and at home, it has meant so much to me and I have come to realise how fortunate I am to have such a decent bunch of people to call my friends. I am working from home now until my leg recovers enough to get back in to work, so if there is something you have been waiting for me to get to please be patient, I am working through...
