The future is Mac : part 2

In an article I didn't read, C|Net notes a couple interesting points which put a different spin on this whole story...

“ Jobs said the next version of OS X, called Leopard, will be released in late 2006 or early 2007. That is the same time frame as Microsoft's next Windows update, dubbed Longhorn”

Well, depending on your sources it will either coincide with Longhorn's release or come just after it.

”...the issue of running Windows on Macs, saying there are no plans to sell or support Windows on an Intel-based Mac”

...and you'd want to do that why?!!!

 "We will not allow running Mac OS X on anything other than an Apple Mac,"

How are they going to stop that from happening?! (Even if they do; how long will it be before it's cracked?!)

why should they support it? or sell it for that matter? it's not their product.

officialy that is. it's *nix based. so itll run on your alarm clock(with crond:).

one of the awesome things about mac: hardware support. it just works. PC based hardware support is shocking. every TD&Harry is making hardware and writting their own shitty drivers!
that's one of the many reasons PC is getting crappy (and nice i suppose). i think mac will try and keep it that way. they'll prolly try and control that for as long as they can.

they prolly wont be going out of their way to stop you. but everyone will get to see the nice GUI, so they'll wanna buy it. or something.

i also wanna know why Intel, not AMD.
