With the imminent release of GTR:FIA and LFS S2 (not to mention GT4 for PS2... yuk ) I'm starting to consider buying a new wheel . On my search quest I stumbled onto this ! HUBBA HUBBA!!! Half Life 2 Specs by matt

I've just seen here that Gabe Newell from Valve has revealed what hardware you'll need to run the upcoming Half Life 2. The specs are quite modest: Minimum spec: 1.2GHz powered PC with 256MB RAM, Win 98/ME/2000/XP and a DirectX 7 compatible graphics card. All-Its-Glory Mode: 2.4 GHz machine, with 512MB RAM, Windows 2000/XP and a DirectX 9 capable graphics card. This is good news for me, since I'm currently running a P4 1.7 with 512MB and a Geforce 4200Ti 128MB; so it should run pretty well. I wonder...

Sim Racing by matt

When it comes to computer gaming I'm somewhat of a freak with driving games. I recently stumbled upon a few open source driving games ( Racer and NetKar ) which are not bad; however seem to be lacking in one or other part. I then discovered RaceSimCentral which hosts hosts forums for many other driving games. Live For Speed being one of them. Since I downloaded this game (145MB) I have been blown away by its realism and possible longevity. Simply awesome! So good infact; I paid the 12 quid they ask...

PS3 will have wireless by matt

I'm definitely not a fan of console (I'm also not a console fan!:); but Sony's plans for the PS3 peaked my interest. Doom 3 Beta 2 Screenshots & Hardware by matt

This morning Paul Thurrott posted some nice screenshots from the Beta 2 (probably "underground") release of Doom 3. Plenty HL2 info!!! by matt

I dug a bit deeper. It seems like “Clan Friday Knights” have got access to the leaked files from Valve. They have posted a FAQ on their website . (I will post it here in a comment to this blog (its very long)). They also mentioned a nice site called HL2World ; some nice info there. Half Park : is a hoot! Half Life 2 : Cheats!?!? by matt

I've just stumbled across this site ; and noticed they're offering cheats for Half Life 2 AND Doom 3 !!!??? Now I can understand that with the leak of the alpha of Doom 3 mid-2002, someone could have figured them out (and they're the same as most id games); but Half Life 2? All that was leaked was a bit of source code! ....or was it? This makes things all the more interesting!! I smell something fishy!
