ActiveSync does not install on Vista
So I rebuild my machine at home with Vista Ultimate and then I wanted to sync my mobile, so naturally I tried to install ActiveSync, but it refused to install. So I did a quick Google search and found that you now use Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 instead of active sync and I found this fabulous post on how to get it working.
I must say I actually like the new interface and it all worked the first time I installed it.
