I heard an interesting snippet of news yesterday on 5FM. Pedestrains are being fined ($100) in New York City with any device; iPods accompanied by earpieces after two people were run over by taxis because they either could not hear the warning; hooter or people telling them to watch out. This is a rather realistic awakening for those with their iPods, MP3 Players especially in S.A with the way our taxi drivers conduct themselves on our roads. I have many a time seen people jogging or cycling with the world silenced by their iPods or other devices plugged into their ears. Use with caution!
