Now that I have my GPS (so I know where I am - kinda) I can give you my schedule for the next month.
If I'm in your area look me up, maybe we can do a beer or something.

Ok lets see, I'm presenting at the Academic roadshow in these areas :

    20 April  : Grahamstown
    21-23 April : East London
    26 April : Limpopo somewhere
    29 April : Bloem
30 April - 7 May : Cape Town. (hey I need to visit my family sometime)

Then back to Joburg for another week of presentations.
Nice little kick off to a new career.

    PS don't forget Devdays :

  • Firefly & sadeveloper sponsor LAN at TUT

Time is flying by, I really feel guilty about how I'm neglecting my blog. So here I sit at the LAN at TUT (Tshwane University of Technology) blogging while we setup.

Wow Slain you must see the box's these dudes have, students have far too much cashola. I'll post some pics later.

It's great to see how the Firefly community and sadeveloper are starting to interact with each other, this is good news.
From my activities on the Universities campuses this last week I have been confronted with an eagerness for technology I have not seen in a while.
The universities are very keen to have people from the real world come speak to students about technology, this is a great opportunity for us to get involved and I intend grabbing it with both hands.

But for tonight I'm am here as canon fodder for a bunch of gaming guru's.... wish me luck.

  • LOST? Who me?

Ok so I've have been scarce, no one said I'd be bored at Microsoft,
I now understand the giggles I got just before starting at Microsoft (private joke).
(What a blast!!!!!!!!!)  So much one can do, so little time and so much to discover.
(Sometimes I feel dizzy with excitement)

So just to prevent myself from getting lost in my work (hehe I get to travel plenty and meet tons of interesting folk) I gave in and organized a GPS Tracking/ Navigation system for my I-Mate (PDA phone for those that don't know :-p )
    http://www.pdazone.co.za/pda-z.asp (if you want one)

Wow this looks pretty good, It comes with PDA software as well as PC software, the module is Bluetooth so will connect to most devices. I’m going to really test it out over the next 5 weeks as I travel the country on my first Academic Roadshow.
Keep an eye on this space, I'll put up my schedule and when I'm in town look me up.

So until the next time I have a chance to breath, see ye on the Roadshow somewhere, and don't get lost.
