WPF Themes Released

Want free themes for your WPF projects? Introducing WPF Themes

A week or two ago I made a quick post about how to convert a theme from silverlight to wpf… After this post, I had a few emails of people asking for the source… I decided to release these themes as a CodePlex project. I also added the 6 themes that shipped with the Silverlight Toolkit! Here is the 8 themes currently shipping in the WPF Themes pack:

ExpressionDark

ExpressionLight

RainierOrange

RainierPurple

ShinyBlue

ShinyRed

DavesGlossyControls

UXMusingsRed

This is a brilliant work, Rudi. Do you mind me integrating your themes within my PropertyGrid (www.codeplex.com/wpfpropertygrid)?

Thanks for sharing this awesome stuff

Thank you Denis... No problem... Once you have styles for your property grid, then I can even include it in my pack...

Great to see this. I do have a question however. What are the plans for supporting the treeview and tabcontrol? I use these controls pretty frequently.

I have a custom skin at the moment that is almost done, so it doesn't make much sence to upgrade my application to the WPF themes toolkit when not all controls are supported.

at first i'd like to thank you for your wonderful work on this.

I installed the wpf toolkit and started to use your themes today. I am using an expander which gives me an error on expanding vertically.

The error message is "Cannot animate the 'Data' property on a 'System.Windows.Shapes.Path' using  'System.Windows.Media.Animation.ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames'.".

The inner exception shows "The animation(s) applied to the 'Data' property calculate a current value of 'M 1,4.5 L 4.5,1 L 8,4.5', which is not a valid value for the property"

Any thoughts on this one?

Ty in advance!

Hi Mark,

Yes, the expander is not supported yet! I will try and convert them today!

Just keep a eye on the codeplex site, I will try and push a update over the weekend or worst case monday!

I had to choose between treeview or expander and most people asked for the treeview that is why I did it first :)

Microsoft released to CodePlex a series of Silverlight controls that allows for theming of sites and included several themes and some great charting examples. In the long term these were to be ported to WPF but not right away, well we have some good news
