One of the real limitations of BizTalk server (design issue) is the lack of details for when things go wrong - and lets face it there will always be things outside the control of the product, not even mentioning bugs in the product itself. For example, when dealing with plain files (flat files or xml) something that is critical to some people gets lost - the original filename. It is possible to retrieve it through the context of the message inside BizTalk but it has to be done one by one per message...

If you work a lot with your development machine (like most developer should...) you often find ways to ease the daily stuff you have to do. Managing your machine is one of those things that just becomes a big pain if its difficult and tedious. Take launching IIS admin (the mmc snap-in) with which you manage your web server. One way would be by just copying the shortcut to the desktop but that just takes up valuable 'real-estate' on your desktop. Even adding it to the quick launch toolbar...

A few years ago I created a small application with which I can monitor what windows services are running on my machine while I'm working. Like many small utilities it evolved into something bigger as time went by and eventually it became a full utility with which you can monitor and control services - running in the system tray indicating what the state is of the currently selected service. Recently I added the ability to connect to other machines so you can watch the services on those machines...

I've been looking for a way to have the battery status of my Pocket PC phone display on the 'Today' screen so I don't have to go Start, Settings, System, Power every f*ing time just to see how much of the battery is left. Then today I came across a freeware tool that does just that plus much more. It also is a task manager - something Pocket PC 2003 really needs. Additionally it allows you to actually 'close' programs instead of just the default minimize. I installed it on my IMate (QT2020) and it...

I installed Opera 9.0 yesterday and I must say I like it for the most part except that some sites which worked in IE and Firefox still does not work properly. Dotnet.org.za gives some problems with posting new blog entries (cannot preview) and the forums on sadeveloper.net are just a pain. It does not support html properly and renders wrong in other browsers if you try to correct it. The biggest advantage of Opera I can see at this stage is the speed at which it loads. It's much faster than Firefox...
