and the long awaited "showdown" is about to begin ...

here is an awesome little insight into Cycling101 for those of you not in the know; unfortuantely it does "feature" THE IDIOT; but hey if you just look past that then everything else is pretty cool.

i still don't know who i will be supporting this year;
will it be Ullrich again, more than likely, but i just get so darn tired of pinning my hopes on the overeating gerbil and having them dashed on a rock harder than a tortoise being dropped from the moon, that i might go for somebody else.

but really who else is there? Vino ... hmmm now that might very well be a plan; at least that may i can still walk around in my stunning pink kit with pride ....

well let's wait and see how it unfolds

[UPDATE {2005-07-03 post prologue}]

that's it ... the overweight gerbil has broken the final frigging straw! i think he should just quit now sighting mental illness of something and save himself further embarresment! Yesterday must have been the saddest day of my life when i came to the shocking conclusion that the idiot has all but won the tour on the first day! *SOB*

yes yes, i just know how much abuse i'm gonna take for this, but still, armstrong sucks!

so now it's Alexandre Vinokourov or nothing ...

come on Vino!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr Crow is definitely the favorite. I just hope it's competitive all the way to the end this year.

How has he ruined cycling. By training 10 times harder than anyone else and raising the level professional cycling.

Shame, poor other cyclists, must someone give them a turn also. I'm sure their mommies wil give them a big hug and wipe off Lance's brake dust off their sweet little faces, after the tour.

At least Lance doesn't complain that he can't win just because his pet hamster died.

(and then gets tested positive a few months later)

Sure I know cycling. Raced BMX for 6 years. Won a round of the Transvaal champs. Started road cycling at 14, joined United Wheelers on the West Rand, raced as a juvenile(only allowed 17 -21 clusters back then). Rode the very first ever Westgate Wheelers ride sometime in 87 or 88. Got ragged by my Cycling Union buddies because Peddle Power was for weenies only. Didn't do another. Tuesdays and Thursdays were track days at Bob Van Reenen in Krugersdorp. Had an ancient dhc track bike, but you couldn't go too wrong with no gears and brakes now could you. Back then we had to sew up our tires and glue them back on the rim after fixing punctures.

Still, can someone tell me how Lance has ruined cycling and why he is an idiot.
