Where is the SOAP?

While busy playing around with .Net Framework 3.5 I noticed to my surprise that I could not find the SoapFormatter. Am I missing something? Or have Microsoft decided to go only with XMLSerializer for Framework 3.5 serialization to XML? Which make sort of sense if you read what this guy have to say about...
