Drakensberge here we come!

We are almost on our way to the Drakensberg with some of our friends. They are there already, and as usual we are the ones that have work to finish, Armand is working his arse off to finish something :)

But soon I'll be lying in the sun drinking some [insert any drink here] next to the pool!!! Hmm...

You lucky people! This EXACT SAME weekend last year I was in the berg hiking... Oh, I can still feel those leg cramps.

You guys must enjoy it and take lots of pictures.

You can say that again Johann. Unfortunately we Capetonians don't often get the change to go to the Drakensberge. Lucky I had the fortune to live in Barkly East for a year and enjoy the beautiful mountain landscape.

Well, you guys have the sea, wind and THE mountain... Can't have it all buddy :P

Where I live, we have the Union Buildings and the Voortrekker monument, these aren't exactly places you can wear a short pant and sit on the beach.

Besides, we Pretorians also don't go there often since the petrol and toll roads are more expensive than the actual holiday. Last time I drove down to the berg, it cost me about R150 in toll roads. Just like driving to the Kruger National Park costs more than R200 in toll roads.

Now my weekend, which I was looking forward to, seems dreary by comparison. Thanks for nothing..

Argh... I am very tempted to go through to Waterval Boven this weekend, the Rock Rally is on and it's going to be a hell of a party.
