About me

My name is Thea Burger and I am a software developer focusing on .NET technologies. My programming experience started out with Visual Basic 6, hereafter I moved to ASP. Not long after that I discovered .NET and since then I was hooked! I first started out with VB.NET, and moved to C# soon after. I am not sorry that I made the move and now I predominantly code in C#.

I recently (Oct 2005) moved to Johannesburg after I lived most of my life in Pretoria. This move was brought on by the ridiculous traffic I had to endure between the 2 cities every day. Pretoria was also getting a bit boring and Johannesburg looked like an exciting option as it is our biggest city and the heart of the economy. I have not yet looked back. South Africa is a sunny, beautiful country with friendly people and anyone that can must plan a holiday here - it will be very cheap as our exchange rate against the dollar and pound aren't that good.

My days mainly consist of working as a software developer at Faritec, an IT Services and Solutions company, creating enterprise level solutions for our clients. Spare time is spent surfing, reading, playing hockey, running, blogging and trying to keep up to date with all the new technologies.

Hi Thea,

Ek het op jou site afgekom deur te search vir C#/ASP. Ek vra hulp asb.

Ek is 'n embedded programmeerder. Ek het +-7jr C/C++ ondervinding en probeer nou oorskakel na C# en wil ook ASP doen, maar ek kry nie 'n ordentelike kursus wat ek kan doen nie - verkieslik deeltyds, aangesien my werk en my huis my baie besig hou.

Weet jy ASB van 'n plek. Ek bly in die Jhb. Enige hulp sal grootliks waardeer word.

Baie dankie
Judy

Hey,

Its looks pretty good to hear about you.
I am working on data warehouse technology and had a chance to look for the rowcount function that we used to do for retrieving a certain number of rows in the sql server.

Since the same functionality is not there in oracle, got to know the code that used for oracle.
