Apologies for low profile and plans for August+ - Willy-Peter Schaub's Cave of Chamomile Simplicity

Apologies for low profile and plans for August+

Firstly I wish to apologize to everyone for having such a low profile, however, production projects and the imminent release of our book “.NET Enterprise Solutions … Interoperability for the Connoisseur” is creating a rather hectic schedule for our team.

This post is intended to reassure that we are still around and to give you a summary of what is planned for August 2006 and beyond.

August 2006

www.drp.co.za … will soon get a facelift, whereby we are planning to deliver better developer readiness information on a more proactive basis to both the developer readiness community and the SA IT community.

August is the scheduled release date for our new book and so far it is all systems go.

WCF, BizTalk and VSTS technology sessions are scheduled for August and beyond, whereby we are planning a monthly community event. We will notify everyone as soon as we have finalized the schedule.

WebCasts are also on our menu, with a VSTS Profiling session this month, followed by VSTS Modelling and BizTalk/WCF sessions in August.

In August I also have the pleasure of visiting Microsoft Redmond with a WCF/WF agenda. I will schedule a community briefing session as soon as I am back and once I have clarity on what is sharable and what is NDA.

beyond August

Firstlly we have started on a book, tentatively titled “Software Engineers on their way to Pluto” which takes a critical, yet humourous, view at software development life cycles, methodologies and how we develop solutions. We are planning to post regular extracts to the community for comment.

See you soon. As soon as I return to SA I will resume my regular posts and saArchitect community sessions.
