TFS Nuggets of Information
Some of the common challenges which seem to be plaguing everyone in the magical world of TFS:
- Best Practices ... visit VSTSGuidance and our quick reference posters on www.drp.co.za for some guidance.
- Visioning ... what is my TFS version ... this is a hot topic, which will be covered in great detail over the next few days. In the interim you can run the TfsVersionDetection tool posted by Brian Harry.
- WS2007 support by TFS ... although not official and supported, have a look at TFS-WSS3.0 if you want to run TFS with WSS2007 today.
- Installing TFS ... hopefully you have seen and used Etienne's install script ... if not, get them here.
- Easy work item search ... Noah has created us a "cool" gadget for Visual Studio IDE.
- Not sure where to find which widget/utility ... go to the Accentient treasure cave.
