We will be covering Team Foundation Server (TFS)< Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) and Teamprise, demonstrating the value of each environment and the seamless interoperability and integration of the three products. The intention is to demonstrate the technology and introduce the students to the environments which they will encounter in typical software development companies such as BB&D. We will be conducting workshops determining requirements. to be in a position to submit an implementation recommendation for TFS, VSTS and potentially Teamprise to the universities.

The demo session, is based on the TechED 2008 session:

Introducing Windows, Linux, TFS, VSTS and Java working as one happy family
  • Ever wondered how we can integrate a heterogeneous development team under one Application Lifecycle Management environment. The session explores the Team Foundation Server ALM environment, introducing both VSTS and Eclipse development environment seamlessly integrating with TFS, to combine a typical Microsoft .NET and Java development environment. The session includes a brief introduction, a demonstration and an interactive “talk” session.
    Code: CNT309

The first two universities we will be visiting are University of Cape Town (UCT) and Rhodes, which you can visit at http://www.uct.ac.za/ and http://www.ru.ac.za/.

We will report after each visit, whereby we are looking forward to collaborate with the lecturers and students. A lucky  at each university will win a 250GB external disk drive!CLIPART_OF_12412_SM
