Community Server (www.drp.co.za) is serving you!

The latest statistics on one of our two community servers http://www.drp.co.za is very promising. The other community server ( www.saarchitect.net ) is on the verge of moving to its own dedicated server, which is why we are not focusing on its stats at the moment. Interoperability Event ... pondering over some of the feedback

Based on the comments attached to my post-event event post , the interoperability event was well received. Unfortunately it seems that a large batch of evaluation forms never made it into the final statistics we received from Microsoft SA and I have picked up the following comments which need further analysis: Wasn’t very much interoperability content. Technology Quick Reference Posters ... made in South-Africa

We have noticed that our quick reference posters, which have grown to over 130, are popular. One of our two community sites www.drp.co.za has over 60,000 downloads of these artifacts. Together with our champion MVP lead Ruari, the South-African MVPs are considering hosting an interoperability day. We plan to demonstrate that interoperability is a mind set and no longer a technology challenge, by demonstrating: Windows and Linux interoperability based on Windows Communication Foundation and Mono Team Foundation Server integration with both Microsoft and non-Microsoft development environments and much, much more ... Technology Evangelism ... gearing up for technology day in Kuwait

With the technology day in Kuwait approaching briskly and relentlessly, we are completing our final preparations for the event. Travel planning, handouts (books, stress balls and information DVDs) and fine tuning of sessions, as well as the recording of sessions for offline and post-session viewing, is consuming the last of our spare time and energy as we are ramping up in parallel to keeping our production ships afloat.
